MJ isn’t dead!
June 26, 2009mike Comments OffYes I said it! Michael Jackson isn’t dead! Ok who wants to bet which tabloid will be first to put that headline on the cover? And what will the story that follows include? He was a robot? He was an alien and went back on his spaceship? He’s hiding out in Guatemala? Michael Jackson had a great influence on music and a strange influence on the world. As we will learn, as we have so many times in the past, the news media does strange things to stories. Did the tabloids break up Jon & Kate’s marriage? I don’t know, but it sure seems like it at times! And its not just the tabloids which we all know, like this site are mostly for entertainment! The “real” news outlets sensationalize and exaggerate even the most serious of issues from war to death to divorce. I understand the American obsession with celebrities and I understand them putting themselves out in the public spotlight, but what about our soldiers who are away at war serving this country so nobly, why must the news do what it does best (misreport and slander?) the reputations of those people and so many others who were not putting themselves out there, but were being sensationalized nonetheless?
