Less Expensive than the Regal
January 18, 2010mike 27 Comments »Today I am beginning a new series entitled “Less Expensive than the Regal”. It is meant purely for comic value and discusses the rising cost of the movies. A few things need to be set up that will often be used as estimations in this series. One: Movie theaters tend to have between 200 and 300 seats per screen and can have as many as 20 screens. While the average movie is around 2 hours some comedies are much shorter. While the average cost of a movie ticket is around $7 and popcorn around $5, an IMAX 3D movie can be $14 or more. With that said… begin the comedy.
