In an attempt to broaden the appeal and content of the site I am bringing to light a new series (sorry not everything is less expensive than the Regal, ok maybe it is).  This new series is entitled “Invention or Innovation”.  In this series I plan to discuss a number of popular “inventions” and ask the question, is this really an invention or is it instead just an innovation.

Perhaps its the historian in me, or maybe just the cynicist, that makes me assume that most of the “inventions” post-industrial revolution are just modifications of something that already existed.  Don’t agree with one of my conclusions (and I have no doubt some will be far fetched) that’s what comments are for.
