Art Deco Pocket Watches, Less Expensive than the Regal

Yes, that’s right Art Deco Pocket watches are Less Expensive than the Regal. No I’m not talking about the fact that they cost $1-5 in the 20′s, but the cost I just payed for this beautiful piece (about $35 after shipping!). No need for me to even work out the math on that one, a couple tickets to the Regal, some popcorn and a Coke and you’re over that in a swipe of your Visa (or a tap if you are that high tech).
But why chose such an obscure item? Simple, the Regal architecture and font
pay homage to that bygone era. The Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression were the time when Hollywood was coming of age. When you look at the sign post on your local Regal Cinema you will see a neo-art deco design. You will also see the same font as on my new to me, 1920′s pocket watch. Unlike a trip to the Regal this won’t be the worst two hours of your life, it will keep on ticking past its 100 year mark without regrets.
