Sure people are stealing it left and right, go to any run down part of town and don’t expect to find any pipes left in the vacant buildings.  Copper is a sought after metal, one the building industry has very good alternatives to these days (PEX) and one the US Mint does too (think that penny is copper?).  But in reality people should be stealing Regal tickets instead, since you can get more than two onces of copper for the price of one of those puppies.

Next time you and your hooligan buddies are going to go to the wrong side of the tracks and break into that old factory, think again, and just skip out on the Regal that week.  You’ll have been better off, richer, and not meet a guy named Bubba later that evening in the slammer!
