The Oscars – Less Expensive than the Regal

If you’re anything like me, which I doubt you are, you saw maybe three or four of the movies nominated for an Oscar.  If that was the case, you didn’t really watch Oscars except for a little while when you were flipping channels before you put in a DVD of a movie that might actually be worth watching.

If you’re nothing like me, then you made some popcorn, maybe some fancy appetizers invited some friends over and watched Babawa Wawters’ pregame show and stayed up past midnight to watch two old guys make crude jokes while a bunch of out of touch left-coasters won a faux-gold statute of a man.

If you are in the latter category and on top of that live in NYC and have Cablevision (thought that was a circa 1975 video game system) then you may have been upset.  Fret not, I have a solution to see the best movie clips for way less than the cost of a trip down to the Regal (especially the one in lower Manhattan) Bunny ears!  No not a rabbit’s foot for good luck, those little metal things people used to have on top of their TV to watch well TV.  Little known fact, ABC is a network and the major networks are available throughout most of the country including NYC for FREE!  That’s right, just cause Cablevision was mad at Disneyworld last night doesn’t mean your Oscar party had to move to a place with a dish.  For a grand total of NOTHING you could have rummaged through your old miscellaneous wire junk drawer and dug up those old rabbit ears and watch the Oscars for Zero dollars and zero cents.

That’s right, the Oscars, Less expensive than the Regal!

Don’t worry, Cablevision and Disney, who were in a local radio commercial war for the last week, came to a truce right in the middle of the Oscars so that all could watch even though no one really cared.
