Run Google Chrome OS NOW!

That’s right!  Can’t wait til whenever Google takes the super pre-beta tag off of Google Chrome OS and releases it in regular beta to the rest of the world?  Or worse yet already own a netbook, notebook, laptop, tablet, smartphone whatever and just learned that Google is going to have such strict hardware requirements for Chrome OS and most likely won’t let you install it even if your device meets those specs.  EVEN WORSE just learned that even though Google is going to let hardware manufacturers use their open source software for free the strict hardware specs are going to most likely price the open source netbook or smartbook higher than the price of a Windows one even with all the money being sent to Microsoft.

Stop waiting, start swiffering…. no wait… start Chrome OSing!  But how?  Well pretty simple, I’m doing it right now!  Here I sit on my HP netbook (running Windows XP in the background, but also would work and be more geek if you were running Linux) minimize the taskbar on the bottom boot up the Google Chrome web browser (http://www.google.com/chrome) and presto you’re running Google Chrome OS NOW!

What do you mean that’s a cop out?  How?  Need to browse your PC file system? Simply Type file:///C:/ (or whatever drive you’re looking for) into the address bar and bingo a list of files comes up.  Need to browse your photos in a cool format? We all know that will be done in Picasa (http://picasa.google.com/) done deal pal!  What about documents, spreadsheets, calendar, email? (docs.google.com or gmail.com should do the trick).  Ok so you want to use the thing to do some ebooking or as a reader (just type almost any word you can think of into well… Google! and presto book.google.com or google.com/reader should do the trick).  And let’s not forget Google Earth, Maps, Street View, Discover Music or YouTube!

Yes that’s right everything that Google Chrome “OS” will do you can do right here right now on your existing computer, for all I care you can use Internet Explorer or Firefox to do it too!  Run Google Chrome OS NOW and don’t wait and spend $500 for an overpowered underuseful netbook!
