The last American…

*This article is about the horrible state of customer service these days and will use Best Buy as an example, for more information on Best Buys’ horrible customer service please Google: “Best Buy Sucks” or anything else and you will find many more stories.
As manufacturing jobs, call centers, you name it are being shipped overseas, and when you mention that, someone tells you, there will always be customer service… and I begin to think… we’re doomed!
I have been to a number of retail stores a number of times and am always “impressed” by home bad the customer service is. I think to myself: “Why didn’t I just buy this online!” It is horrible, the reason I walk into a store in the first place is to physically see the products and get service, and if I have an issue not have to call a 1-800 number in India. But whenever I need help at a store, it always ends up that I would have been better off going with the online route, saving some money, and hoping for the best!
I would rant and rave about my personal experience with Best Buy this weekend, but I will leave that up to you to Google all of the horror stories.
On a positive note, I want to mention one other thing, people always talk about the “Disney Magic” you know what that is? Having worked there I can tell you… It’s good customer service, the customer is always right, and dropping everything to help the customer (or guest as they call it). That is the good old American way, a way it seems the latest GPS unit from Best Buy certainly can’t find!

Ok… Lets get one thing straight. While I agree that customer service on the whole does completely suck, and I in fact went to Best Buy this past weekend, and while I do not like being disturbed while I am perusing the shelves I was not approached by one single associate while I was there, which is not the way to do business. However, the customer is NOT always right, in fact the customer is quite a lot of the time wrong, and I think once the shopping masses understand that, their customer service experiences will be far better times.

YEA I REALLY HATE BEST BUY! THEY SEND A GOON EVERY THREE SECONDS TO TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT GETTING COMMISSIONS AND ask if you need help finding the thing that you already have. lol.
What is your horror story?
