Why the people on hoarders AREN’T crazy
May 28, 2010mike Comments OffOk… so I, like 99% of Americans, have never seen the show Hoarders (thank God). But to sum up my understanding of it from the commercials, seemingly crazy people keep all sorts of junk and make their house a disaster.
But are these hoarders onto something? Keeping all that junk? After all there is a saying, what’s old is new again. And its true, in fashion, car styles, even technology!
You might say how can technology from 5-10 yrs ago be up to date. Ever here of WebTV (by Microsoft) a number of years ago MS had the idea that you would want the internet on your TV while sitting on the couch, they teamed up with DISH Network and made an easy to use all in one box where you could surf the web and check your email.
May of 2010. Google TV. Google partners with DISH Network to make an all in one box to surf the web and check your email! Congrats Google for innovating!
It makes me wonder… is pathfinding worth it? Remember RIO? Nope? Neither do 99% of people, well they essentially invented the portable MP3 player… you remember the thing we now call the iPod. Now where is Rio? Chapter 11 probably!
So keep your old stuff, give it a new case or fresh coat of paint, pull it out 10 yrs in the future… Hipsters will pay you big money for!
