Senator Beefcake

Just a brief observation on the recent events in the Senate, as most of the talking points have probably already been published. For those who are unaware: Ted Kennedy passed away and his seat has been won by a Republican.

The basics of this story are as follows and the facts are pretty cut-and-dry points of political interest:

Teddy Kennedy dies after spending almost half a century as a Democratic Massachusetts senator.

His replacement Democrat has her work cut out for her, in a blue-state, running for a Democrat-controlled senate.

Republican Scott Brown comes OUT OF NOWHERE to win the seat race, after being down in the polls by double digits a few weeks ago.

Now here comes the fun part… Scott Brown is a former Cosmo model.

What is it that allows mostly nude Republicans to win important political elections? Along with Ahhnold, that makes two Republican office-holders in completely blue states, both of whom have been photographed almost completely naked at some point in their career.

I can only deduce two things, the first of which is that the Republican party needs to embrace this strategy whole-heartedly. Whatever can be said about male models, they can apparently win elections… disrobe some young lawyers and put ‘em in women’s magazines. This leads into the second deduction, which is that Democratic gay guys and women must have turned the tide in this senate race. Assuming there is minimal chance that Democrats have lost faith in President Obama’s  ability to push legislation, this election was decided on sheer gams alone. Republicans take note of this heretofore untapped voting block!

That is all for now. My deductions, assumptions, and research were made with the least possible effort… so here is a picture to distract you from this poorly written ending:
